Ravi received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Anthropology from Harvard University. He obtained his MD from Baylor College of Medicine and a PhD in Biological Sciences in Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Raju completed his pediatric residency training at the Boston Combined Residency Program in Pediatrics, and is currently a fellow in Neonatology at Boston Children’s Hospital. Given the increasing appreciation that the social environment is a large driver of health, he is interested in better understanding how exposure to adversity in childhood affects health in adulthood. To study this, he uses mouse models of early life stress and epigenetic tools to investigate how exposure to toxic stress affects behavior and brain function.
