Ravi received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Anthropology from Harvard University. He obtained his MD from Baylor College of Medicine and a PhD from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Raju completed his pediatric residency training at the Boston Combined Residency Program, and his fellowship in Neonatology at Boston Children’s Hospital. He is now on faculty at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School as an Attending Physician in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and an Instructor in Pediatrics, respectively. Given the increasing appreciation that the social environment is a large driver of health outcomes, he is interested in better understanding how adverse childhood experiences impact health in adulthood. To study this, he uses mouse models of different environmental exposures coupled with next-generation sequencing technology to investigate how exposure to different environments influences neurodevelopment and aging.
