Monica graduated from Harvard College in 2024 with a degree in Neuroscience and minor in History of Science. In college, Monica worked in the Doo Yeon Kim Lab in Dr. Rudolph E. Tanzi’s Genetics and Aging Unit, investigating Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathology in 3D human cellular models and brain organoids. Her undergraduate thesis explored aberrant electrical activity in inducible cortical organoid models of AD. She joined the Tsai Lab in August 2024 and is interested in exploring the impact of gamma stimulation as a potential treatment for neurodegenerative diseases in human participants.
