Kate graduated from Wesleyan University in 2021 with a BA in Biology and a minor in Informatics and Modeling. As an undergraduate researcher in Robert Lane’s lab, they investigated genetic regulation of olfactory receptors. They then joined Greenlight Biosciences and developed and ran assays in the Bioassay and Immunoassay team. Kate joined the Tsai lab in August 2023 and works with human IPSC-derived cells to investigate the roles of the ApoE4 risk allele and lipid accumulation in Alzheimer’s.
