Guang Xu is a postdoctoral associate in both the Tsai Lab and the Boyden Lab at MIT. Guang joined the Tsai Lab in 2023 after completing his PhD in the Center for Excellence in Molecular Cell Science at the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology. His doctoral work utilized super-resolution imaging to produce new insights into the precise structure of the nucleolus and the regulatory mechanisms of ribosome RNA biogenesis. In the Tsai Lab, his primary focus is on utilizing a human brain organoid system to explore the mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease. Additionally, he is dedicated to pioneering the development of cutting-edge imaging technologies based on expansion microscopy.
