Audrey received her A.B. in Neurobiology with a secondary concentration in Mathematical Sciences from Harvard University. As an undergraduate, she studied how microglia regulate oligodendrocyte precursor cell (OPC) proliferation and differentiation in a model of traumatic nerve injury in the lab of Dr. Zhigang He at Boston Children’s Hospital. She also interned at Biogen Inc, where she developed in vitro assays to model drug delivery; and Cellino Biotech, where she optimized the culture of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived neurons for cell therapy manufacturing. Audrey joined the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT as a Ph.D. student in Fall 2019. She aims to elucidate the molecular pathways of OPC degeneration in Alzheimer’s disease through single-cell transcriptomics and human iPSC-derived models.
