Echo earned her BSc in Information and Computing Science from Southwest Jiaotong University, China and her MSc in Clinical Psychology from Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan. She completed her PhD in July 2024 with the Neurostimulation Team at Black Dog Institute and the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Her PhD research investigated the cognitive enhancement of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) coupling with electroencephalography (EEG) in healthy populations. She has also investigated the cognitive effects of sensory stimulation using light and sound combined with TMS. She joined the Tsai lab as a postdoctoral associate in January 2025 and works with human subjects using gamma sensory stimulation. Specifically, she identifies optimal conditions for gamma stimulation in people with neuropsychiatric disorders.
