Nicole graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2021 with a B.S. in Cognitive Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychology. At Loyola she studied neural circuitry of the reward system with a strong focus on pathways involved in cocaine sensitization. She has a general interest in understanding the mechanisms of various pathologies and the translation from an animal model to treating human patients. In the Tsai lab she will be exploring the peripheral nervous system and microbiome in relation to the beneficial effects of gamma entrainment.
